Dr. Deborah Mosley-Heath completed her graduate studies in Clinical Psychology at Howard University after her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
She is a clinician, consultant and trainer. In addition, Dr. Mosley-Heath is also an adjunct faculty member at UMBC. She has served as the Clinical Director for the DC CINGS Program at the DC Department of Behavioral Health, formally the Department of Mental Health. She, as well, has been the Clinical Supervisor, Assistant Principal and Special Education Coordinator in area DC Public and Charter Schools.
Dr. Mosley-Heath’s primary theoretical orientation is psychodynamic with an eclectic approach that utilizes aspects of cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, play and person-centered therapies. She works with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups. Dr. Mosley-Heath loves being a wife and mother of one. She loves her family, being active in community, spiritual and service to all mankind. She also loves watching and attending sporting events. Dr. Mosley-Heath lives by and wants to help others know that no matter the situation, all things work together for good.
Dr. Mosley-Heath is a licensed professional counselor in Washington, DC and Maryland with more than 20 years of experience.
