Joseph comes to CCCC by way of New York City. He graduated from New York University with his Bachelor’s and Master of Social Work. He has extensive experience working with children and adult experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and much more. In helping his clients, Joseph utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Parent Management Training.
Joseph also has experience conducting substance use treatment and mental health services, including a Men’s Wellness Group, an Emotional Regulation Basics group, and a Healthy Relationships Group. Group work is a passion of Joseph’s—he believes that we are stronger together.
In his spare time, Joseph is working on a Master of Disability Studies degree at the City University of New York to enhance his working with a population that is often overlooked, people with disabilities. In doing so, he has under-gone training in social skills training to enhance his clinical knowledge.
Joseph’s core principles as a clinician would be compassion, collaboration, and transparency. You are the expert in you! Joseph works with clients to help them feel their best! Furthermore, he believes education about diagnosis and symptoms are the best way to help ourselves.
