Education and Training
Sagan was granted both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Public Health and Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She is currently in her third year pursuing a doctorate degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology through The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington DC campus.
Sagan has experience working with families, couples, adults, adolescents, and children. She is a licensed counselor in both Virginia and Indiana and has worked in various clinical settings. She has worked in forensic settings, both inpatient and outpatient community settings, and private practice. Additionally, she has been trained to do various psychological testing including personality, intelligence, and achievement testing.
Her specialties include treatment of adults, adolescents, children with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and personality disorders. She has received training in treatments for mood and anxiety disorders, addictions, family, cognitive skills, re-entry programing, and trauma. Sagan has various clinical interests including personality disorders, substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety and panic disorder. Therapy is provided from a variety of treatment modalities specifically cognitive-behavioral, client centered, dialectical behavioral therapy, and integrative psychotherapy.
