Saman is currently a third-year graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Johns Hopkins University. She has ten years of experience as a conflict mediator and group facilitator as well as eight years of experience as a certified life, leadership and executive coach. Saman has designed and delivered tailored leadership development programs as well as trainings on mindfulness, personal power, cross-cultural awareness, coaching, leadership development and conflict resolution.
Saman has a strengths-based, solution focused orientation, which she integrates with experiential and interactive modalities, such as gestalt therapy and process-oriented role play. As a dedicated meditator, she also incorporates mindfulness as well as spirituality, when appropriate, into her work with individuals. Drawing from her immigrant background as well as having worked for several years with Native American tribes, Saman brings a multicultural curiosity and awareness to her therapeutic work.
