Groups Led by Dr. Finzi-Adams
Dr. Zoeann Finzi-Adams is a licensed psychologist who specializes in anxiety, relational issues, life transitions, women's issues, and culturally based concerns. Dr. Finzi-Adams' clinical interests revolve around experiences of discrimination and intersecting identities among ethnic and racial minorities and their impact on other life contexts (i.e. interpersonal relationships, academics, and mental health). She has a specialized focus on issues pertaining to Colorism and unique stressors that impact Women from the African Diaspora. Clinically, She specializes in diversity training, group psychotherapy, interpersonal dynamics, women's issues, emerging adulthood, and working within university/college settings.
In therapy, Dr. Finzi-Adams uses Relational Cultural Theory as well as Psychodynamic Theory, both rooted in a focus on diversity. These are used to help client's increase insight into their concerns while helping them identify ways they can shift their current behaviors to access more fulfillment in their life and relationships.
At CCCC, Dr. Finzi-Adams serves as the Assistant Director of Clinical Training and provides clinical supervision to doctoral level trainees.
