Courtney takes a collaborative approach to therapy and believes her clients play a critical role in the therapy relationship. She emphasizes self-care and compassion as essential components of one's well-being. Courtney helps clients identify the relationships between their personal and family experiences with their current emotions and behaviors. She also works with clients to establish goals for the future. Courtney brings a variety of clinical experiences to the practice including in-home family therapy, school-based mental health, group therapy, and individual and couples therapy.
Anxiety Disorders (generalized, specific phobia, OCD), Trauma, PTSD, Depression, general life adjustments, and couples and family conflict. Courtney works with adolescents, adults, families, and couples.
Courtney's approach is eclectic and combines Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral approaches. She has specific training and experiences with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
