Dr. An Ngo (pronounced -'no'-) graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed her internship at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has extensive experience providing psychological services in diverse settings, including schools, hospital, and community health. Dr. Ngo's approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered base. She works from an integrative model, combining cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, and mindfulness to provide individually tailored treatment for each client's unique perspective.
Dr. Ngo works with children, adolescents, and adults who experience a wide range of psychological issues including: affective disorders, anxiety, adjustment problems, chronic pain, sleep disturbances, eating disorder, grief/loss and bereavement, traumatic experiences, identity development, self-esteem, and relationship issues.
Dr. Ngo believes that individuals have the innate ability to heal themselves and develop their own wisdom to understand their struggles and lead a fulfilled, happy life. The role of the therapist is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for individuals to explore and become aware of these strengths and potential.
Additionally, Dr. Ngo sees healthy relationship as an essential part of our well-being. One of the most important relationships is the one we have with ourselves. Through a holistic framework, Dr. Ngo and her clients will not only work on strengthening relationships with others, but also develop a healthy relationship with themselves.
