Niral is a predoctoral intern who currently pursuing her doctoral degree at an APA accredited institution, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology while completing her APA accredited internship at CCCC under the supervision of Dr. Efanov. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and received her MA from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2020. Niral enjoys working with the adolescent and adult populations in both the therapy and assessment context. She has provided neuropsychological assessments to the severely mentally ill at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, and has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in the outpatient setting.
As every individual has unique needs and goals, Niral uses an integrative approach to therapy to best apply various skills and techniques to fit each individual’s needs. She has experience working with adults and adolescents expressing concerns regarding mood disorders, interpersonal issues, adjustment issues and life transitions, and personality disorders.
Niral primarily uses cognitive and behavioral techniques to help clients, while integrating dialectical and other therapies in her sessions. Niral strives to be collaborative with clients and create a safe environment to promote growth and foster a strong rapport, which she believes is essential to the therapy process. Niral also has experience conducting neuropsychological and psychological assessments with adults. Niral is practicing while under the supervision of Dr. Efanov and Dr. Cunningham.
