Julia Dakich, LGSW
Licensed in Washington D.C
I am an individual adult, child and adolescent therapist, and have worked with a wide range of ages, cultural backgrounds, and diagnosis. I come from a schools background, and am able to consult with parents and families about any school issues e.g. bullying, school avoidance, social issues, and special education. I have experience with neurodiverse children (Autism, ADHD, OCD, Gifted and twice-exceptional) and am neurodiversity affirming. I am child-led, meet children where they are, and honor each child's unique perspective, experience and strengths. I take a dynamic approach, utilizing a combination of mindfulness, sensory, play, movement, cognitive and behavioral talk therapy techniques depending on the individual child and their needs. I love helping children and adolescents explore their emotions, learn coping skills, communication skills, and work through mental health challenges at all ages.
