Katherine Gouldin is a Caucasian, hearing woman, and a predoctoral extern. She has earned her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and is currently enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at The Chicago School in Washington D.C. Katherine’s approach to therapy includes fostering self-awareness while using empirically supported approaches tailored to the needs of each person.
She is trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy and is passionate about working with individuals presenting with difficulties with depression, anxiety, OCD and phobias, body image, PTSD, and suicidal ideation. She is currently training in Gottman Level 1 and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Katherine takes a personal approach to therapy, using a balance of collaboration, structure, emotional insight, and practical tools to create meaningful change.
