Dr. Michael Leptic, a Licensed Psychology Associate (LPA) in Maryland and the District
of Columbia, has dedicated his career to assisting individuals of all ages in overcoming
mental health and addiction-related challenges. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
and Master of Arts (MA) in psychology from Northcentral University and is employed as a full-time professor, instructing undergraduate and graduate courses at the collegiate level.
Dr. Leptic’s expertise lies in providing support to individuals experiencing mental health crises, including those with co-occurring conditions. He is committed to fostering a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment that facilitates healing and personal growth. His cognitive-behavioral and person-centered approach is designed to cultivate a warm, welcoming, and, most importantly, respectful therapeutic environment. Dr. Leptic guides his clients toward inner peace and empowers them to overcome obstacles and realize their full potential. Dr. Leptic’s clinical interests encompass anxiety and depressive disorders, substance
abuse and chemical dependency, self-care and mindfulness, and co-occurring
conditions. He also offers both individual and group therapy options.
Outside of his clinical practice and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Leptic enjoys reading,
cooking, and spending quiet evenings at home.
