Omeaka Jackson, LCPC earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland University College, her MA in Psychology at Liberty University, and her MS in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School in Washington, D.C. Ms. Jackson is a predoctoral intern completing her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School. Ms. Jackson has extensive experience working in community mental health and private practice settings and is a licensed clinical professional counselor in Maryland.
Ms. Jackson describes herself as an advocate for children and their families. She believes it is important for children and adults to be seen, heard, and validated in order to establish and maintain a positive therapeutic relationship-an important part of the therapeutic journey. She prioritizes meeting clients where they are emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically. She uses an integrated approach that incorporates cultural humility and evidence-based, culturally affirming practices. This includes play therapy, expressive art therapy, psychodynamic, humanistic, and other therapies, tailored to each client's needs. She is currently receiving Gottman Level 1 and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Training.
